
Business owners in the 21st Century are becoming increasing aware that a continued programme of staff development is necessary for the ongoing benefit of everyone.
it is with this in mind that my long term friend and fellow Personal Development Consultant - Tom Armstrong and I founded The Big Blue Sky Company.
The ethos behind this company is to promote Business Development by taking a pro-active approach to staff development, (we prefer not to all it training as it is animals that are trained).
We believe that every company whether it be a small corner shop in an unknown village in Iceland, through to the biggest, multi-national corporation needs customers, for without customers there is no business!
We devised our Business Development Program using the principles of Customer Awareness / Satisfaction as its cornerstone. Now, in order to deliver excellent Customer Service one thing needs to happen, the staff must feel valued. If they feel good about themselves, feel secure, happy and believe that their managers, bosses, employers know that they exist and show appreciation for their efforts, they will convey this message in all that they do in their working environment.
Having done the groundwork with team members we can then move on to specifics and, based on our findings, develop bespoke strategies for your specific business.
To date we have delivered our programs to companies within the Hotel Trade, the retail sector and road transport.
In addition to our Business Development Program, we are currently developing a range of more job-focused courses such as Manual Handling for the care industry, Food Hygiene and also, safe vehicle loading for the road tranport industry.
